Establishing a good school year is a step toward establishing patterns of goodness in your children (called virtue). If you want your children to flourish during the next 10 months, to enjoy school, to advance their knowledge, to get along with their classmates, and to come home without anxiety or fear, you need to set up a pattern of behavior based on expectations. If you want your children to live their lives the same way, and for them to embrace God and love their neighbors, you need to do the same thing.
But what pattern do we establish? How do we know what behaviors will foster goodness in our children? In His loving care for us, God has given us the answer!
