Position Location:      Holy Cross Diocesan Center, La Crosse, WI

Reports to the Vicar for Clergy

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Serves as Administrative Assistant for the Vicar for Clergy.
  2. Assists in the establishment of procedures and organization of the Office of the Vicar for Clergy.
  3. Develops and maintains complex filing systems, both paper and electronic.
  4. Maintains contact lists specific to the Office of the Vicar for Clergy.
  5. Maintains and preserves confidential records, communications and information.
  6. Performs bookkeeping and budgeting functions.
  7. Manages the office scheduling and calendars.
  8. Plans and organizes events for large groups.
  9. Works with Immigration Attorneys for International Priest Program.
  10. Assists with travel arrangements, including international travel.
  11. Assists parishes with help-out ministry and maintains list of clergy availability.
  12. Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Must Have:

  • A person in full communion with the Catholic Church
  • Minimum of five years Administrative Assistant experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience taking and transcribing meeting minutes
  • Ability to prioritize work in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication skills

Full Time position.

Office Hours:   Monday – Friday   8am – 4:30 pm;     with occasional weekend responsibilities
