Immaculate Conception Parish in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. is looking for a coordinator of religious education to join our parish team. Our new Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE), will make an impact at Immaculate Conception by spearheading the development and implementation of strategies for family faith formation programing in the parish. They will empower parents of children in grades K-5 as the primary teachers of their children’s faith, expressed concretely by deeply involving parents in sacramental preparation (in particular Reconciliation and Holy Communion), practice and parish life. They will enthusiastically recruit, train, empower and encourage volunteer catechists to evangelize children in grades 1-5 and their parents. The individual who will succeed as Coordinator of Family Faith Formation has the same qualities as those listed above for the Director of Faith Formation. Part-time employment will average 20 hours/week, including evening and weekend hours, for 12 months.
The candidate should hold Advanced Certification as a catechist in the Diocese of La Crosse or committed to attaining it promptly after hire. BA/BS in education, religious studies, or theology is valued, but not required.
