Director of Parish and School Music

St Francis Xavier Catholic Church and School, a small rural parish in north-central Wisconsin, is seeking a qualified person to direct and lead our existing parish and school music programs. The Director of Parish and School Music position is envisioned as a full-time position with a competitive salary and diocesan benefits. However, we would be open to discussing a part-time commitment depending on the candidate’s needs and abilities. Part-time position: The successful candidate will serve as piano/organist for weekend and holy day Masses, Holy Week liturgies, sacramental liturgies, weddings, and funerals, organize and prepare cantors, and encourage congregational singing. Full time position could potentially include: plan and instruct K-8 music classes two or three days a week, lead music for school Masses, lead and direct family and school choirs, assist the Pastor/Parish Life Coordinator to plan and implement Sunday liturgies, Holy Day and special liturgies throughout the year, and assist with other parish responsibilities as requested.
