The Pilgrimage Continues
on the Marian Route

One of the largest Eucharistic pilgrimages in history will begin on May 19, Pentecost Sunday, as pilgrims carrying Christ depart from four locations across the United States to ultimately converge in Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress. This Congress, held at Lucas Oil Stadium from July 17-21, will be the first National Eucharistic Congress in 83 years.

The Marian route begins in Crookston, Minn., It will travel through the Diocese of Winona-Rochester before Bishop Robert Barron hands the Blessed Sacrament to Bishop Gerard W. Battersby and the people of the Diocese of La Crosse. After a Eucharistic Rally in La Crosse on June 7, the pilgrimage will walk Jesus across our diocese.

The pilgrimage will stop at parishes throughout the diocese for Mass, adoration, prayer and worship. “Christian faith is either an encounter with Him alive, or it does not exist (Desiderio Desideravi, 10).

Come, encounter Him. And bring others so that they may as well.
