Position Location: Holy Cross Diocesan Center, La Crosse, WI
Reports to the Vicar for Clergy
Principal Responsibilities
- Serves as Administrative Assistant for the Vicar for Clergy.
- Assists in the establishment of procedures and organization of the Office of the Vicar for Clergy.
- Develops and maintains complex filing systems, both paper and electronic.
- Maintains contact lists specific to the Office of the Vicar for Clergy.
- Maintains and preserves confidential records, communications and information.
- Performs bookkeeping and budgeting functions.
- Manages the office scheduling and calendars.
- Plans and organizes events for large groups.
- Works with Immigration Attorneys for International Priest Program.
- Assists with travel arrangements, including international travel.
- Assists parishes with help-out ministry and maintains list of clergy availability.
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Must Have:
- A person in full communion with the Catholic Church
- Minimum of five years Administrative Assistant experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience taking and transcribing meeting minutes
- Ability to prioritize work in a busy office environment
- Ability to work independently
- Exhibit polite and professional communication skills
Full Time position.
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30 pm; with occasional weekend responsibilities
