Job Description: Director of Hispanic Ministry

 

Purpose:

Saint Patrick Parish in Hudson, Wisconsin has an opening for a part-time Director of Hispanic Ministry. This individual will work under the guidance of the pastor and will collaborate with parish staff and volunteers to facilitate ministerial outcomes that align with the Parish’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

This part-time position will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating Spanish-language liturgies.
    • Recruit, train and manage volunteers (greeters, Eucharistic Ministry, lectors, , announcements).
  • Coordinating database of parishioner information for Hispanic families.
    • Translate, contact, and assist families as needed.
  • Coordinating adult and youth discipleship and catechesis.
    • Promote and connect Hispanic adults and families to parish faith formation programs (sacramental preparation, OCIA, Youth Ministry, etc.).
  • Coordinating publicity, promotion, and communication of parish programs.
    • Assist with publication of monthly parish bulletin, social media and website.
  • Coordinating relationships with local partners in the community.
    • Facilitate partnerships with employers, non-profit organizations, and area churches to support the temporal needs of Hispanic families.

Requirements:

Candidates must be fully bilingual Spanish – English.
Fluency in English and Spanish conversation, reading and writing is required.
Competency with social media and computer skills required.
Public speaking, presentation (online, video) skills preferred.
