The Catholic Diocese of La Crosse is seeking a Director of Human Resources. This individual will provide consultation and advice to the diocesan and parish leaders regarding employment policies and practices, recruitment, employment contracts, hiring, retention, employee benefits program, and training of diocesan and parish employees.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of La Crosse serves 19 counties in west central Wisconsin providing ministry resources through parishes, schools, adult education, youth, and outreach programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures compliance with employment-related laws and other employment-related regulatory requirements
  • Oversees recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding processes.
  • Serves as point-of-contact for employee inquiries and questions regarding organizational policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Supports Catholic school and parish administration teams for the purpose of providing direction related to staffing, compliance, policies, and conflict resolution.

This is a full-time position.  Interested candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field with 5+ years of HR or business experience with a full understanding of human resources processes as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.  Salary based on experience.  Interested candidates should send a resume, references, and cover letter to  Very Rev.
