Job description: The ED will be supervised by the President and will be accountable to and evaluated by the Board of Directors. The ED, under the immediate direction of the President, shall have general and active management responsibilities for the Corporation, shall implement the policies and governance directives of the Board and shall administer the day-to-day affairs of the Corporation, including the supervision and management of the staff at St. Vincent de Paul Pantry, Kitchen and Thrift Store. Some travel will be necessary in this position. This position is FLSA exempt.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, non-profit administration, or the equivalent in work experience.
  • A minimum of five years in a management or supervisory capacity, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • An understanding of modern business principles and servant leadership.
  • An awareness of and a desire to work in support of the Society (a Catholic lay organization) and its mission.
  • The ability to work with culturally and socially diverse populations and have an attitude of caring and respect for those in need.
  • A solid understanding of the basic principles of finance and accounting. Should be able to explain the organization’s budget and interpret financial statements to board members, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills, both written and oral.
