The Principal fulfills the mission of the school by leading and developing the faculty, staff, students, and school operations in the areas of Mission and Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality according to the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools and policies of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the local parish and school.
Foundational Responsibilities of the Principal
The Principal works collaboratively with the Pastor, faculty leadership teams, and the School Advisory Committee to develop and implement the mission and vision of the school.
The Principal engages in authentic servant leadership that advances the mission and vision of the school.
The Principal embraces the teachings of the Gospel and serves as the primary faith leader of the school community (faculty and staff, students, and families).
The Principal is the instructional leader of the school and its programs, including a standards-based learning platform, workshop-model classes, and full inclusion of special education students.
The Principal is the operational manager of the school, mentoring and leading a team of 35 faculty and staff members.
Qualifications
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
Current Wisconsin Administrator Licensure 5051 or approved Study Plan
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership
Evidence of ongoing professional learning
A minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
Well-versed in standards-based learning and contemporary instructional practices
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies
Experience in the collection, analysis, and utilization of data in informing instructional and operational decisions
Collaborative work style
High-level commitment to a student-centered decision framework
Compensation
Annual. Commensurate with experience and qualifications
