Our Presenters
Kevin Lynch is president of Lynch Development Associates of Huntington, New York. He founded the consulting firm in 1994 and over the years, it has raised over $1.5 billion dollars through its capital and stewardship services for parishes, schools, religious communities, retreat houses and other nonprofit organizations. Mr. Lynch is a graduate of St. John’s University in New York with a bachelor’s degree in speech with specific concentration in rhetoric and public address. Throughout his career, Mr. Lynch has become well known as a motivational speaker with regard to key issues facing the church today. Mr. Lynch served as a board member of ICSC, was co-chair of the registration campaign and Emcee for the ICSC conferences. Kevin is also a board member of the Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation (www.mlynch.org), serves on the Vision to Action committee for Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset, New York, and is a member of the ICSC marketing and development committee.
Laurie Whitfield is the Director of the Office of Parish Stewardship for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY. She has been with the Office for more than 18 years and has helped move parish stewardship forward in the diocese.
Prior to this position she was an educator and corporate trainer. Laurie has developed many resources, including her published works, “Taking Care of God’s Gifts” with Our Sunday Visitor. She initiated a computer training series, communications seminars as well as spiritual and gift discovery sessions and more to help parish leaders in their stewardship efforts. Laurie is a repeat presenter at the Annual ICSC Conference, has offered the keynote address and breakout sessions at Regional (Arch) Diocesan Stewardship Days and various other engagements. Additionally, Laurie holds a BS in Music Education and an MA in Pastoral Administration. She is a Dominican Associate and has been a liturgical musician for many years.
