Getting married is easier than staying married. Today’s culture has severely reduced its societal support for a sacramental marriage and the family that it founds. Couples who choose to marry within the Church often sense they are on their own when it comes to navigating the challenges they face to live as God intends.
This is where the Domestic Church (DC) movement comes in. DC is an officially recognized lay movement that provides life-long formation for Sacramentally married couples for the sake of achieving sanctity together, growing in mutual love, and providing an environment where children can thrive and grow in union with Christ, so they may truly be called a Domestic Church!
