Revival’s in the Air
AN EXCITING JOURNEY AHEAD
The Dioceses of the United States of America have embarked on a three-year time of grace called “Eucharistic Revival.” It is an occasion for us to restore our understanding, celebration, and love of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Recent studies have demonstrated how weak today’s faith in the Eucharist has become—nearly 70% of Catholics do not believe Christ is present in the Blessed Sacrament. But we didn’t need a study to tell us this, as we witness this falling away among our friends, families, and parishioners. Yet it seems as if today—with widespread confusion, anger, anxiety, fear, and despair—we need to encounter Christ more than ever.
So, while a focus on the Eucharist is always appropriate, the current climate is a special motivator for pastors, who believe that “God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and sent out in mission ‘for the life of the world.’”
Much lies ahead over the next years of Eucharistic revival. May this time be for the Church and each of us in it an occasion to know the Eucharistic Jesus more clearly, celebrate his gift more lovingly, and serve his people more eagerly.

Why Now?
BECAUSE THE CHURCH NEEDS
HEALING. AND THE WORLD
NEEDS THE CHURCH.
Scandal, division, disease, doubt. The Church has withstood each of these throughout our very human history. But today we confront all of them, all at once. Our response in this moment is pivotal.
In the midst of these roaring waves, Jesus is present, reminding us that he is more powerful than the storm. He desires to heal, renew, and unify the Church and the world.
How will he do it? By uniting us once again around the source and summit of our faith—the Holy Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is the joyful, expectant, grassroots response of the entire Catholic Church in the U.S. to this divine invitation.

It takes time to kindle a living, loving relationship—and a relationship with Jesus Christ is no exception. That’s why the Eucharistic Revival allows three years for discernment, encounter, and grassroots response on the diocesan, parish, and individual levels. Find out what to expect along this journey:
