PROJECT RACHEL AND RACHEL’S VINEYARD

Desire healing after abortion? Reach out, we would love to accompany you!

If you or someone you know is suffering from the pain of abortion, we desire to offer confidential and compassionate support to any woman or man seeking greater peace and restoration.

Come and See

The experience of an abortion results in many life-changing effects—physical, emotional, and spiritual.  The resulting trauma can affect daily life and personal relationships.  Changes can occur in how a person views themselves, and others. Project Rachel and Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats are ministries dedicated to serving those who are suffering after the experience of abortion.  These offerings have helped many women and men to heal from the resulting wounds and trauma.  Sometimes people reach out soon after their experience, while others may reach out many years later.  Know that you are not alone in your pain.  Our team of trained volunteers, including mental health professionals, spiritual companions, and clergy, are waiting to accompany you on your journey.

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY

After losing a child in a family as a result of abortion, a person can experience repeated painful feelings of

Guilt      Shame        Anxiety        Grief       Anger     Isolation     Self-harm

Weekend Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats offer a safe and sacred space for participants to open their hearts and surrender to Jesus their burdens without fear. Participants will have opportunities to grieve, work on anger, forgive, and engage in a renewed relationship with God.

Testimonies of past participants

My Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat changed my life in ways I didn’t know were possible, it brought me grace, peace, and a freedom I had never experienced before. It truly marked the beginning of a new life for me, and I am deeply blessed and grateful for the love and support I never knew existed, but so desperately needed.

Jill

God always saw my heart. He patiently waited for me. It wasn’t until after my RV retreat that I was no longer afraid to face Him. He transformed my heart. I now see God as the loving Father who loves me and wants to heal the deep wounds I hid for years.

Jeanelle

Rachel’s Vineyard gave me the strength and tools to begin my post abortion recovery.  A recovery that I denied myself for almost fifty years.  I am very grateful and open to God’s grace today.

JH

“I encourage any woman who has abortion in their past to go on this retreat.  It was a bit unnerving at first, but by the end of the weekend I felt transformed and freed from the guilt and shame that I was so good at weighing myself down in.  God is SO good!”

Common Questions

Do I have to be a practicing Catholic or Christian to attend a retreat?

No, all are welcome. The Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat program offers healing for the wounds of trauma, primarily focusing on the spiritual wounds.  Although our Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat is presented as a Christian spiritual program and will offer Catholic sacraments, ALL ARE WELCOME to attend. No one is ever pressured to change their religious practice or expected to adopt a new one.

What part is considered Catholic?

The retreat includes the needs of Catholics on retreat, such as the availability of Mass and confession. These offerings are not part of the retreat program, and participation is voluntary.
