2024 Fall Educator Gathering
The day will be broken into two parts:
1. Academic Dispositions
a. Academic dispositions can be thought of as the habits that we find ourselves enacting in different curriculum areas. The academic dispositions allow for stakeholders in our schools to have a clear focus on what we want to accomplish.
b. Teachers and administrators will have time to get familiar with the dispositions. The conversations will allow them to begin identifying how the dispositions will be visible in their teaching.
2. Diocese of La Crosse Course Outcomes with the Cardinal Newman Society Standards
a. Teachers and administrators will take a side-by-side look at the Diocesan standards and the Cardinal Newman Society Standards. Through the process, the tables will identify ways to more strongly align our ACE Curriculum with the Catholic standards of the Cardinal Newman Society.
b. The tables will also be able to brainstorm specific ideas on what the Catholic standards may look like in their classrooms.
