Bishop’s Tuition Assistance
Funding our schools is a shared responsibility between parents, parishes and our schools. Families can
help by attending mass, financially supporting their parish, purchasing scrip, and volunteering at school
and church. Along with that, applying for assistance through such programs as the subsidized hot lunch
program brings needed dollars into the school. Our school administrators have the responsibility of
encouraging and guiding our families in these directions.
The Bishop’s Tuition Assistance program is intended for families who need financial assistance the most.
The awards are based strictly upon the evidence of need. The amount distributed to parents is based on
the following criteria:
● Regular attendance at Mass
● Participation in the free and reduced lunch program
● The family is making an effort to pay some of their tuition
● Support for their parish financially and/or through volunteer work
● Submitted paperwork demonstrating family need such as FACTS, a recent tax return, an accepted
free or reduced lunch application, or a written statement from their pastor or school system
president
● Please do not submit applications for families who have simply failed to meet their obligations
The outstanding tuition balance should be as of June 30, 2024 for the 2023-2024 school year only. Past
years may not be included. This should be tuition only, not any fees. If you are a fair share school,
please only list the minimum tuition you request – not the entire fair share amount.
