2024 New Teacher Formation Class
All teachers new to the diocese, Catholic or non-Catholic, full- or part-time, any teachers who were hired mid-year last year who were new to the diocese. Since this is a professional meeting, we ask that all attendees dress appropriately. No jeans, sweats or t-shirts are to be worn. This session is required as part of your Basic Certification. Attendees must be present for the entire session to receive credit.

Teachers in Catholic Schools must know the foundation of the Catholic Faith. Our Faith is rooted in the seven Sacraments. It is vital that Catholic School teachers pray on their own and with their students. This day of prayer and the study of the Sacraments is important to helping a teacher establish a strong foundation.

It is vital that Catholic School teachers prayfully reflect on the Word. This day dedicated to prayerful Scripture study is important to helping a teacher establish a strong foundation for his or her Catholic classroom.

The job of each Catholic School teacher is to reinforce what the Church proclaims throughout the world and to work with parents in preparing their children to be faithful citizens who serve others. This ministry requires teachers and administrators to constantly strengthen their own faith in our Heavenly Father.
