New Teacher Formation
All professional contracted staff must complete Basic certification. Completing “Teaching as Ministry,” “Scripture,” and “Prayer and Sacraments” will meet part of these requirements.
Since this is a professional meeting, we ask that all attendees dress appropriately. No jeans, sweats or t-shirts are to be worn. Each of these sessions are required as part of your Basic Certification. Attendees must be present for the entire session to receive credit.
Teaching as Ministry

Participants must bring their Bible and Blue or Green Catechism!
Session is from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Check-in and continental breakfast begins at 8:00 AM, lunch will be provided.
The job of each professional staff member in a Catholic School is to reinforce what the Church proclaims throughout the world and to work with parents in preparing their children to be faithful citizens who serve others. This ministry requires teachers, administrators, and all professional staff members to constantly strengthen their own faith in Jesus Christ and the one Church He founded.

It is vital that you prayfully reflect on the Word. This day, dedicated to prayerful Scripture study, is important to helping you establish a strong foundation for your Catholic classroom.
