Take the Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory.
Begin to recognize the charisms—spiritual gifts—you’ve been given.
Learning how using your charisms will bring you greater purpose, joy, and peace.
Understand why charisms are essential to serve others.

There are 3 parts to the Called & Gifted Discernment Process. Registration for a Called & Gifted Workshop in the Diocese of La Crosse includes access to all these opportunities to help you discern your Spiritual Gifts given to you by the Holy Spirit!

ll Three parts of the Called & Gifted™ Discernment Process are essential for discovering where you are gifted.

Part 1 is the Called and Gifted Introductory Workshop:
March 21, 2026 (9:00am – 4pm)

The workshop includes teachings about Charisms & offers tools to help you discern the presence of Charisms in your life. You will need to complete a spiritual gifts inventory online before the workshop date. Registration includes access to Catherine of Siena Institute’s online learning platform for 6 months. This workshop and process are for adults over the age of 20.

Spiritual Gifts – Charisms – That We Will Examine

Part 2 is a one-hour Gifts Interview with a trained interviewer after March 21st.

Reflect on your spiritual gifts inventory results.
Share personal experiences that reveal how God may already be working through you.
Identify patterns in your life that may point to the presence of a charism.
Choose one charism to begin intentionally discerning.
Discuss practical ways to “experiment” with that gift in daily life and ask questions about specific charisms or discernment.

The one-hour interview is a $50.00 value, offered to you free of charge through the Office for Catechesis & Evangelization and the Marshfield Parishes. This is an invaluable part of the discernment process!

Part 3 helps you begin a deeper discernment in real life
In a small group led by a trained parish/diocesan team, you will choose one charism to “experiment with” in everyday life—meeting for 5 sessions over 6-8 weeks—while paying attention to how God works through that gift.

You will learn how to:

Create and carry out charism experiments
Reflect on and evaluate your experience
Identify patterns from childhood that may limit how you use your charisms as an adult.

Organized by local Called & Gifted Leaders, participation is free, but an invaluable part of the discernment process!
